Sweet Spy (2005)
Profile Bio Text
Nam Sang Mi worked in a fast-food restaurant near Hanyang University, Seoul in the fall of 2001 before becoming an actress. She was just posting her photos in the internet and that`s where she was discovered. Her role in her movie "Spy Girl" is a bit similar on her story of becoming an actress. Nam Sang Mi started appearing with small roles in movies and TV dramas and started to have commercials and advertisements. Her first debut drama is in the MBC drama, "Love Letter". Her first major role in a TV series drama is in the MBC drama, "Sweet Spy". She then had a role on the TV series "Drama City" in 2005. Also had a role on the TV Series "Bad Family" in 2006. In 2007, She played as Seo Ji Woo on the TV series "Time Between Dog and Wolf" were she won as the most popular actress in the Seoul International Art Awards 2008.

In 2008 Nam Sang Mi has featured her own font in Cyworld. The font can be used online and also for mobile phones, and has expanded in December to be used beyond Cyworld to other online services. Nam Sang Mi has fallen into piano. For 1 year, after finishing the filming of SBS drama "Gourmet", she started to learn how to play the piano as a hobby not to long ago. But, she did not show off her abilities and was humble. Nam Sang Mi`s hinted that she is "taking 2 lessons every week. When she was little, she learned only a little bit, but she did not play well, so this time she is starting from the very beginning level. Right now, it is just a hobby and is very fun." Meanwhile, Nam Sang Mi promoted Korean Federation for Environmental Movement for 12 days. On the 24th in Seoul, MokDong SBS Company on the 9th floor, as a ‘Water Environment Defender’, Nam was entrusted as a public informatory and was awarded `Environment Award` in the Water Environment Awards. Nam Sang Mi joins others stars who have previously participated in the campaign to promote the adoption of handicapped children. As part of the campaign with Holt Children’s Services, Nam took her promo photo with a child afflicted with a brain injury who is partially paralyzed in one side. Nam Sang Mi, who recently wrapped her latest drama "Gourmet", departs from her usual innocent image and goes a little sexier for the October issue of Ecole Luxe magazine.
Nam Sang Mi is taking on her first horror flick in the upcoming "Living Death", in which she’ll co-star opposite Ryu Seung Ryong. Nam said of the role, “The moment I read the script, I wanted this part badly. After such a long time away from films, it excited me, and I can show a completely different side than I’ve shown in dramas.” It does sound like a big departure from the usually bright, cute, and lively characters Nam has played in the past; I’ve found her to be an uneven actress although I really like her personality, which always comes across as positive and charming. She now currently has the role of Princess Pyung Kang in the KBS2 drama Series "Invincible Lee Pyung Kang".
