Mary Claire "Mimi" Kennedy (born September 25, 1948) is an American actress, author, and activist, best known for her performances in television comedies. She co-starred in a number of short-lived sitcoms, before her role as Ruth Sloan on the ABC drama series, Homefront (1991—93). Kennedy later co-starred in The WB prime time soap opera Savannah (1996—97).

Thereon, she delivered supporting yet memorable performance in several short-lived television comedies, including 3 Girls 3 (1977), Stockard Channing in Just Friends (1979), The Two of Us (1981) and Family Man (1988). Later, Kennedy had a recurring role on the television sitcom Dharma & Greg (1997), in the series she played Dharma's mother, Abby. Kennedy went on to the join the cast of Mom (2013), in which she is Marjorie, the twelve-step sponsor of the lead characters (played by Anna Faris and Allison Janney). Her work in the series earned a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination.
