Profile Bio Text
Vanna Bonta is a novelist, poet and actress. She is the author of Flight, the story of a girl with amnesia who has no navel, and who is part light-being, part human.
As an actress Bonta earned a fan following as Zed`s queen, the superhero`s young mother in the fantasy movie The Beastmaster, but soon after worked mostly as a voice actor. She is credited in numerous films such as Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and contributed uncredited work as a SAG actor to a roster of films such as Walk the Line, Die Hard, Free Willy, Bedazzled, while working as a writer.
In a non-stereotypical career as a multifaceted talent, one of Bonta's stories was purchased by Paramount for the development season of Star Trek:TNG.
Her imagination crossed into the field of invention with a shoe that converts from a flat to a heels. Bonta also invented the 2suit, a spacesuit for intimacy in zero gravity, which was featured in 2008 on The Universe television series (History Channel).
She modeled for Florentine artist Pietro Annigoni, who drew a portrait of her as a young girl. She was a model of 'Woman' for sculptor Frederick Hart`s "Creation of Mankind" (Ex Nihilo) sculpture immortalized in stone on the front entrance of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington D.C.
Biographies note an unusual life as a child. Bonta's father taught her to be a sharp-shooter by age nine, she spoke four languages by age eleven, and she rode camels in Egypt and elephants in Thailand.
