Wikipedia Text

Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), known professionally as Pink (frequently stylized as ), is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. She was signed to her first record label with original R&B girl group Choice in 1995. The label, LaFace Records saw potential in only Pink, offering her a solo deal. Choice disbanded in 1998. Pink rose as an artist with her debut solo album, Can't Take Me Home (2000). It was certified double-platinum in the United States and spawned two Billboard Hot 100 top-ten hits: "There You Go" and "Most Girls". She gained further recognition with the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack "Lady Marmalade", which gave Pink her first Grammy Award as well as her first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. Pink took control in early 2001 insisting she wanted to work with her childhood hero, Linda Perry. Pink took more artistic control and pursued a pop direction for her second album, Missundaztood (2001). It sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and yielded three United States top-ten singles, "Get the Party Started", "Don't Let Me Get Me", and "Just Like a Pill".

Wiki Bio Text
It is difficult to say which came first, Pink's clever name, or the color of her hair. Regardless of which inspired which, the rock star's glowing neon-pink locks, in combination with her youthful rock & roll sounds, make her name impossible to forget. Pink was born Alecia Moore on September 8, 1979, in Doylestown, PA. She was raised in nearby Philadelphia, where she broke into the music scene at an age defying the laws of curfew, and had released her first solo album (Can't Take Me Home) by the age of 19, in the spring of 2000. Her successful pop music career led to her performance of the song "Lady Marmalade" in the film Moulin Rouge starring Nicole Kidman in 2001. Pink made several television appearances on the MTV Music Awards, and released a performance video, Pink: Most Girls/There You Go, in 2000. In 2002, she appeared in the feature film Rollerball, an action-fantasy film starring Chris Klein, LL Cool J, and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. Pink's second album, M!ssundaztood, came out just prior to the film's release, and in 2006 the pop princess continued her acting career as star of the claustrophobic thriller Catacombs, which found her stalked in the dark tunnels beneath the streets of Paris. Two years later, her single So What found Pink at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in her career. http://www.allmovie.com/artist/p%21nk-p176914 Date of Birth 8 September 1979, Doylestown, Pennsylvania, USA Birth Name Alecia Beth Moore Height 5' 4" (1.63 m) Mini Bio (1) Pink was born Alecia Beth Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and was later raised in Philadelphia. Got back together with Carey Hart and they renewed their wedding vows with a ceremony at their California in May 2009. [April 2009] Brought her mother a copy of the lyrics to her song "Family Portrait", which told how she felt about her parents breaking up, before the record was released. Her mother was deeply upset by the lyrics at first, but it led to a heart-to-heart talk between the two, that changed their relationship for the better. Dropped out of high school, but went back later and got a GED. Daughter of Jim Moore and Judith Moore. Former backup singer for Basic Instinct. Filming Get Him to the Greek (2010). [October 2009] Preparing her first headlining US tour, "Party Tour 2002." Her second album, "Missundaztood," has sold over 2 million copies. [March 2002] Starring in a Pepsi ad, with Beyoncé Knowles and Britney Spears. The girls star as gladiators while singing the Queen hit, "We Will Rock You". Enrique Iglesias plays an evil Roman emperor. [January 2004] Working on her next album and has just released a single with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mya, called "Lady Marmalade". These artists will be performing their single at the MTV Movie Awards 2001 this year. [May 2001] She will be releasing a DVD of her tour in Europe. She also contributed to a charity single for the tsunami victims with other stars doing a re-make of Eric Clapton's hit "Tears in Heaven". [November 2005] It has been frequently, but incorrectly, reported that Alecia is the cousin of Mandy Moore. Alecia Moore is not the first Pennsylvania-born celebrity to go by the nickname Pink. The same sobriquet was briefly used by Elizabeth Cochrane (or Cochran, 1864-1922), who later became known as Nellie Bly. Cochran(e)/Bly famously broke gender barriers as a whistle-blowing journalist, travel writer, industrialist, war correspondent, and philanthropist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She is best known for her world-circumnavigating voyage in the winter of 1889-90, wherein she became the first person to prove the plausibility of the Jules Verne novel 80 Days Around the World, i.e. that someone could make such a journey in such a time span. Revealed in a radio interview that she purposely flubs her songs when performing live to show she doesn't lip sync. Teamed up with Dallas Green from City and Colour to write an album together. The duo wrote and recorded their debut album for You+Me in 6 days. Was born at 3 PM. She is left-handed. Gave birth to her 1st child at age 31, a daughter named Willow Sage Hart on June 2, 2011. Child's father is her husband Carey Hart. Confirmed after much speculation that she is 3 months pregnant with her first child, by husband Carey Hart, on Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2003). She also revealed that she had been scared to confirm her pregnancy due to having suffered a miscarriage the previous year (17 November 2010). Gave birth to her 2nd child at age 37, a son named Jameson Moon Hart on December 26, 2016. Child's father is her husband, Carey Hart. Personal Quotes (13) My dad raised me with some good advice: "Always tell the truth. Always shoot from the hip. You might not have many friends, but you'll never have enemies, because people will always know where you're coming from." I'm about to make people forget about Madonna. I decided at 15 that I didn't want to be one of those artists that gets up and sings love songs they don't mean. I decided that I was going to be me to the fullest extent, that my songs were going to reflect relationships I've had, things I've been through, and even the stuff I'm embarrassed about. When I was in seventh grade my mom caught me smoking cigarettes and punished me by making me smoke the entire carton. All it did was piss me off because I was out of cigarettes. I appreciate being a girl more now than ever. There's a struggle involved in it, but it's so rewarding when you prove to all men that you might have something up on 'em. I have to speak for myself. As far as videos go--casting, the artwork, everything--I'm completely hands-on. You have to be if you want your points across. I've always loved to prove people wrong. I want to be able to cross color lines, because in music, there really is no barrier. I would win on Survivor (2000) as long as I didn't have to eat bugs. It takes a lot of people years to turn a negative into a positive. It takes me, like, an album. There's not a lot of people out there that are as honest as I am. Just read that I'm bisexual. So 1991. Good thing people write articles about me so I can get my facts straight. Can't wait for the day when people stop talking about sexual preference or that a woman is a CEO and actually start making the world liveable. [Graham Norton shows Pink a picture of her playing Rumpleteaser from Cats] Ha! Give that here or I'll kick your ass! I think I did a good job of raising my parents. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0600877/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm
