Nikki SooHoo is an American born actress from Southern California. Her experience in entertainment began with dancing and evolved into formal acting roles beginning with the television pilot "K-POW." In 2003 Nikki SooHoo met Los Angeles talent manager, Addison K. Witt in his Santa Monica teaching studio. Witt was recruiting actors for a brand new Management Company, and invited Nikki SooHoo to join his roster. SooHoo was placed in the hands of talent agent Robin Spitzer and AKA Talent Agency. After a series of auditions, Nikki SooHoo beat out thousands of contestants for a regular dance spot as a member of the LA Sparks kids. Building on her dance training, Nikki SooHoo was cast in two of Bratz Doll commercials before she scored big as the affable character, Wei Wei in the Disney gymnastics feature "Stick It," a film that features Olympic Gold Medallist, Nastia Lukins. Nikki SooHoo has an emotional versatility and range that plays well in film and TV, as is demonstrated in the award winning short film, "Fields of Mudan." Nikki SooHoo`s first starring television role was in the Disney Channel pilot "East of Normal; West of Weird."
Although Nikki SooHoo grew up in Hollywood working in well-known TV shows like "Phil of the Future," "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody," and "Drake and Josh," she has crossed over from Disney into other brands like Fox and Paramount. In the Peter Jackson directed feature, "The Lovely Bones," Nikki SooHoo works opposite Oscar nominated Irish actress, Saoirse Ronan. SooHoo`s character, Holly, brings a lithe, and sense of humor to the dark experiences that confront physical brutality and murder. With her strong dance training, Nikki SooHoo returns to her roots, and is cast in a lighthearted dance film, "Bring it On Cinco."
It`s not everyday that an actor is permitted to work in every area of television and film. Nikki SooHoo`s ability to merge these worlds together speaks volumes to her skill, training, and instinct.
