Profile Bio Text
She was born Marlene Pinkard on March 15, 1954 in Billings, Montana, and later changed her last name to "Morrow". Marlene was the former girlfriend of Todd Rundgren prior to Bebe, and was the Playboy Playmate of the Month for April 1974.
She moved to Osaka, Japan, where her father was a baseball player on a Japanese team. From there, the family moved to L.A., where Marlene grew up. “Believe it or not,” she says, “up until the time I was 13 I wanted to be a missionary.” She gave up that idea and settled on the notion of being a housewife with a load of kids. But that’s been postponed indefinitely, now that her career is spiraling upward.
Todd wrote a love song about her called "Marlene".
Todd and Marlene broke up and Todd was in a relationship with Bebe for some years. Unfortunately, Marlene had a difficult life after her centerfold appeared. She tried working at different jobs and eventually ended up homeless on the streets of Hollywood, having renamed herself "Persephone". There, she was rediscovered by a photographer named Paul Zollo who posted some current photos of her on Flickr.
In the last few years, several people posted to blogs sharing memories of Marlene and seeking information about her when she disappeared from the street where she had been living. Fortunately, her story seems to have taken a more hopeful turn recently, as internet comments suggest she is back in touch with her sister who is looking out for her.
