It was clear at the tender age of three years old that Kari was destined to pursue a career in show-biz. When She would watch "Family Affair" on TV, She`d pretend to be Buffy. By the time Kari was 13, She was studying acting and making the rounds of auditions in New York City. The Ford Model Talent Agency quickly signed Kari and she split her time appearing in TV Commercials, acting on soap operas, and acting in Off-Broadway plays. Her first feature film was in "Fire With Fire" playing Virginia Madsen`s best friend. Music and acting were equal passions so Kari started her own punk rock band called Freudian Slip and played in clubs like CBGB`s.
Kari`s first TV break came from working two jobs for MTV; co-hosting their Game Show "Remote Control" and being a VJ (Video Jockey) for the Music Network. Kari`s performance and personality led to her landing a role in Andrew Dice Clay`s Movie "Ford Fairlane" which She credits as her big Movie break. This Film helped launched a career change for Kari. Her music aspirations would be put on hold while She focused full-time on acting. Kari appears in over 40 theatrical films including "The Crossing Guard" and "Eight Legged Freaks". Kari stars in several TV Series including "Swamp Thing", "Sliders" and "General Hospital". During this period She released her debut CD Album "Shiny".
