Christopher Reid, formerly known as Kid (born April 5 1964 in The Bronx, New York City) is an American actor, comedian, and former rapper. He graduted from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science in 1982.
He is best known as one-half of late-1980s/early-1990s hip hop musical act Kid `n Play with fellow rapper/actor Christopher "Play" Martin. Reid was particularly notable for his extreme hi-top fade hairstyle. On the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, he mentioned that he is the son of a Jamaican father and an Irish mother.
Reid has appeared on a number of television programs, including Martin and Sister, Sister, and has also served as the host of amateur contest shows such as Your Big Break and It`s Showtime at the Apollo. Reid is married to Kimberly Turner, and tours as a stand-up comedian. He noted that his hiatus is over and is coming back focused more to his acting.
Reid`s most recent musical contribution has been to HBO`s Real Time with Bill Maher, having written the theme song.

Kid 'n Play is an American hip-hop act from New York City that was popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The duo was composed of Christopher "Kid" Reid (April 5, 1964) and Christopher "Play" Martin (July 10, 1962) working alongside their DJ, Mark "DJ Wiz" Eastmond. Besides their successful musical careers, they are also notable for branching out into acting.
