Bronwyn Cornelius is an independent film producer and entertainment consultant whose career experience includes projects with Gracie Films, Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Brothers, as well as various independent films. Her more recent indie features include SXSW Jury Award-winner Made In China (IFC Films) and the LA-based immigrant drama Greencard Warriors starring Manny Perez and Vivica A. Fox. Bronwyn is currently producing You Were Never Here with Before The Door Pictures (Margin Call, All Is Lost), is attached to produce the dramatic thriller Fortunate Sons, based on the award-winning and Oscar-qualifying Sundance short film In the Morning, and the Kenyan whistleblower political thriller “It’s Our Turn To Eat”, based on the book the New York Times called “gripping, thoughtful... A fast-paced political thriller – with echoes of Graham Greene and John Le Carré.”
Bronwyn also provides strategic, creative, and production consulting on film properties as well as for entertainment-related entities. She is currently providing strategic direction and partnership building support for TV4 Entertainment, a broadband programming and distribution startup founded by Hulu’s launch GM and architect of the US broadband policy, in addition to her film-related clients.
Bronwyn’s entertainment career began working alongside veteran studio line producer John D. Schofield at Sony and Paramount Pictures on such Academy Award-winning movies as Jerry Maguire and As Good As It Gets, in addition to helping prepare studio and independent projects for greenlighting.
Her other professional experience includes working as a Sales Trader and VP of New Business Development on Wall Street with a focus on institutional equities and hedge funds, covering clients such as Moore Capital, Soros Fund Management, and Tudor Investments. She also spent several years in public relations in Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles, servicing international corporations such as Swire Pacific, McDonnell Douglas, Intel, McDonald’s and Merrill Lynch.
Bronwyn began her professional career as a Project Manager in Hong Kong, helping to develop and launch entertainment and leisure venues in Asia.
Throughout her career, Bronwyn has always held a passionate interest in global affairs and social justice and has done pro-bono and for-profit projects for various organizations including the Anti-Defamation League, Hollywood Heart, A Place Called Home, Los Angeles Urban League, The Ford Foundation and Rock The Vote. She was also a founding partner of Generation 21 / G21.com, an interactive, web-based platform dedicated to aiding fulfillment of the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals.
Bronwyn is Executive Board Chair Emerita for the LA-based nonprofit GlobalGirl Media (www.globalgirlmedia.org), which develops the voice and self-expression of teenage girls in underserved communities around the world through content creation and digital media training; serves on the board of the Berlin-based NGO Breaking The Ice, which uses media to campaign for collaborative and entrepreneurial approaches to community development in developing countries; and is a member of The Creative Coalition, 100 Women In Hedge Funds and SAG-AFTRA.
Bronwyn is also an experienced actress who was theater trained in England and is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade. An American and British citizen, Bronwyn was born in Los Angeles, educated in England, lived in Hong Kong and New York, and has traveled around the world.
