Anna Gunn (born August 11, 1968) is an American actress, best known for her roles as ADA Jean Ward on The Practice, Martha Bullock on Deadwood, and, currently, Skyler White on Breaking Bad. She also provided the voice for Ariel in the Legacy of Kain series of videogames. Anna Gunn also appeared on Seinfeld "The Glasses". The sixty-seventh episode. It was the 3rd episode for the 5th season. It aired on September 30, 1993.
Anna Gunn currently stars as Skyler White on AMC’s Emmy award winning show Breaking Bad, garnering considerable critical acclaim such as: “The achingly subtle actress is packing serious dramatic heat.” (TV Guide), and “The scenes between Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn are reminiscent of the truly great acting done by James Gandolfini and Edie Falco in The Sopranos.“ (The San Francisco Chronicle). This fall Anna has returned to New Mexico, her home state, to begin filming the third season of Breaking Bad, which will premiere in March of 2010. Throughout her career, Anna has moved between television, film, and theatre with much ease. In 2004, Anna landed her breakout television role, playing Martha Bullock on HBO’s seminal show, Deadwood. Anna’s association with Deadwood creator David Milch began early on when she first worked with him on his hit drama NYPD BLUE, giving a memorable performance as Kimmy, a junkie longing to escape New York to swim with the dolphins.
