Profile Bio Text
Roy Jones is a US boxing champion, he won an Olympic Silver Medal in Seoul 1988 after losing a controversial decision to Korean Park. As a professional, he started as 16-0 (KO 16) light middleweight Knockout artist & eventually moved up to win world championships in the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. He is the only boxer in history to start his career as a light middleweight (154 lbs) and go on to win a heavyweight title.
In his prime he defeated future Hall of famers Bernard Hopkins & James Toney. He became more reluctant to take mega fights in the aftermath of the Nigel Benn vs GMAN fight that left GMAN permanently handicapped. In the following years he selected his opponents all the way through light heavyweight & the Heavyweight successful title bid vs John Ruiz. His official undefeated run came to an end in the rematch vs Antonio Tarver a lanky Southpaw who knocked out Roy Jones in the second round. Roy Jones came back, but from this point he started losing more fights by knockout
