Profile Bio Text
Diana Dors was promoted as "The English Marilyn Monroe". She had the blonde hair and the curves but in fact she began her career long before Marilyn and Diana could act better as well. The daughter of a Railway worker, she trained at The Royal Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (RAMDA) and appeared on stage while still quite a young girl. She appeared in her first film at the age of 15, mainly in "sexy-girl in background" roles.
She graduated to more important dramatic roles and continued to play quite weighty roles such as the ex-wife of Peter Sellers in There`s a Girl in My Soup (1970) and a series of still sexy, older ladies.

Diana Dors (born Diana Mary Fluck; 23 October 1931 – 4 May 1984) was an English actress. She first came to public notice as a blonde bombshell in the style of Marilyn Monroe, as promoted by her first husband Dennis Hamilton, mostly via sex film-comedies and risqué modelling. When it turned out that Hamilton had been defrauding her for his own benefit, she had little choice but to play up to her established image, and she made tabloid headlines with the adult parties reportedly held at her house. Later she showed a genuine talent for TV and cabaret, and gained new popularity as a regular chat-show guest.
