Profile Bio Text
While 1990`s Home Alone was O`Hara`s major claim to fame, she was already well-known to most Canadians for her role on SCTV, portraying neurotic, ditzy characters such as Lola Heatherton and Margaret Meehan. Her spot on impersonations of the likes of Katherine Hepburn, Brooke Shields and Morgan Fairchild are also notable.
O`Hara joined the cast of Saturday Night Life briefly in 1981 after leaving Second City, but quit before making it on the air. She returned to SCTV for a few episodes in 1982. She starred in several movies afterward (After Hours, Heartburn, Beetlejuice), and found success in Christopher Guest`s mockumentaries with SCTV co-star Eugene Levy in the mid-90`s.
